Oh Oh , they are coming on strong!

Looks like Mr Wagner's client and Tahoe Dale will give Baxi a run for his money. Carnton with a significant 1888 in MS 66 and Tahoe with a 1897 MS 66 both coins really low pop's. Wonder what Mr Bill has up his sleeve to stay in the lead?????imageimage

    Good morning Rex,

Bill will not have to worry about Carnton this year. We are basically through with our move in 04. Just sent in 5 coins for regrade and hit the 1888 as you noted. Looks like the FUN auction will have some nice coins for MS Liberty Nickels sets. Was really pulling for the 1886 to go MS67! it was pretty much a twin to the 1885 in 67. Next year should be fun. Best,

    Hi Jack,

Check out the Nickel category on my website. I am adding some nice Liberty's along the way. Best to you,

Bill R and I have come up with a new suggested price list for lib nickels in the higher grades-- 65 for the keys and 66/67 for all other dates. It is based on pop, recent sales, and auction records in the last year.

There is a price range for PCGS and NGC coins, but there will be exceptions for both PQ and below average examples. A recent 1886 in PCGS 65 sold for 13,800 at auction, and that is the highest price realized for an 1886 (in 65) to date. The 1899 in 67 did not meet the present range for 67 in this date, in a recent sale.

And there have been no auction sales of several of the rarer dates in 66 and 67. So an approximate range was used. eg., The 1885 in 67, 1886 in 66, 1896 in 66, 1911 in 67.

If anyone is interested in our data and end results, please PM me, as Bill is not presently on the boards. The price estimates are changing phenomena, and we will update every 6 months.

    Hi Dale,

I plan on seeing you and Bill at FUN and picking up a copy of your Liberty Nickel price data. Thanks to you guys for putting in the time and effort to give us some additional pricing education for the series. See you soon,
