One more nice shot Phil. Unfortunately the coin is not as nice as it was described at the auction, but decent enough for my type set album. Big monster, you're right about that.
I was saying it because it was described as gem unc and it is not. It was however a no reserve auction and a decent final price, so it was OK. This and the 1927 proof crown which I don't own yet, are the most expensive coins of the British 20th century silver type set, (shilling to crown). Just two more coins to complete it. Another lovely coin that I bought for this album, was agraded's 1902 halfcrown and of course this proof matte florin.

Somehow, the image of you flipping it into the air, drawing a gun, and yelling "Pull!!" -- and the consequent look on Dimitri's face -- keep me

I believe the lines in the unc crown are hairlines. That's how I know.
edit: sorry coinkat, just saw your post you might be right. Perhaps a comparison with Bill's 1902 crown would help us.
