Tino Martinez might be the Yankees starting First baseman

Dec 15 According to The New York Post's George King, the New York Yankees are expected to bring 1B Tino Martinez back to the Big Apple to serve as their starting first baseman.
I am OK with that. I know there are a lot of Yankee fans who liked him. My first choice was Olerud, but Tino will be OK. He was with us before, so no problem having him back. He is a solid first baseman who is not going to be as expensive as some of the other guys out there. I certainly do not want a Delgado.
I still say letting Lieber go was a mistake. Keeping Brown is smart. Not signing Pedro was excellent.

Both Olerud and Tino are class acts.
They are steady first basemen as well.
They are seasoned veterans who will give
you the best they've got. They are
a little old and worn down, but still very
productive.
Nice post. From a team perspective, its kind of a wash to choose between Martinez and Olerud.
