Anyone willing to donate cards/memorablia towards THON (for the kids)?

I'm not sure how many of you that I have dealt with in the past are still around, but I am back & am looking to do some trades, but I also was wondering if anyone would be interested in donating (cards/memorabilia/etc) towards THON (The largest student-run philanthropy in the world). It is held at Penn State every year (as those of you who know me, that is where I have been attending school for the past 4 years). It is a year round fundraising event benefiting The Four Diamonds Fund, Conquering Childhood Cancer, at the Penn State Children's Hospital in Hershey, PA. Due to the fact that I am only a college student, there is only so much money that I can donate by myself. However I got the idea & I began to work on putting together memorabilia/cards donated to me by various athletes/coaches (from both penn state & many others), along with local stores & two local sports card shops. Between a local auction house & also ebay, I plan to sell them all and donate all the proceeds to THON. Part of the reason I would like to do this is that I would like to raise a large amount of money so I can get onto the floor in the spring during the actual dance marathon, but I am not restricting anybody to only donate through me... if you would rather donate on your own... just follow this link & you can make a donation online... I am definetly not going to ask for anything of specific values... anything you are willing to donate is very much appreciated. I know some of you may have questions or concerns & please feel free to contact me about those as well. If you take a look at my website (link in signature), you will see that I have MANY references from Collector's Universe & I am sure that there are a few of you that will stop by and speak up on my behalf.

In case any of you were wondering why I am so interested in helping out... one of my best friends from school is a kid named nick who has cerebral palsy. I met him freshman year & he is the greatest kid you would ever meet... he is always smiling & I've never seen someone look at life the way he does. One of his young cousins had cancer and as soon as he got to State College, THON was one of his #1 priorities. Between the way he looked at life and the way he wanted to do anything he could to help out, it really made me look at things differently. After he graduated last spring it kind of hit me that he will not be around this year to help out with THON & I decided to take it upon myself to work towards helping & donating whatever I could.

Additional Info about THON....

THON is a year round fundraising event benefiting The Four Diamonds Fund, Conquering Childhood Cancer, at the Penn State Children's Hospital in Hershey, PA. The year culminates in a no-sitting, no-sleeping, 48-hour dance marathon held every February. Over the past 30 years, the students of THON have raised over $30 million and have helped thousands of children and families fight pediatric cancer.

During THON weekend, 700 students and thousands of supporters come together in the hopes of one day finding a cure for pediatric cancer. Whether standing for 48 hours as a dancer, entertaining the crowd, taking care of the facility, or even sitting in the stands, every person at THON plays a small part in creating an amazing atmosphere of love, compassion, and understanding. This atmosphere inspires the students to fundraise throughout the year and tells the families of The Four Diamonds Fund that they have the care and support they need. This collective effort, involving over 10,000 students, has become one of Penn State's greatest and most unifying traditions.

The mission of the Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon is to conquer pediatric cancer by providing outstanding emotional and financial support to the children, families, researchers, and staff of The Four Diamonds Fund.

THON is fundraising over a year-long effort involving thousands of students and culminating in a challenging, 48-hour, no-sitting, no-sleeping dance marathon.

THON is changing the lives of students and children, reinforcing the importance of caring for one another, and inspiring the determination needed to beat cancer.

THON is helping to conquer pediatric cancer through strategic investments in hospital bills, research efforts, and a new family-centered Pediatric Cancer Pavilion at the Penn State Children’s Hospital.

Nick... a couple of those things have been donated by me, the others have been donated to me. Like I said they were donated by a bunch of coaches/players that I was able to contact about the fundraiser & also a couple local sports card shops. Some of the things have already been sold. Some of the items will be sold at a local auction house, others I will most likely be listing them on ebay. I am going to wait to list till a little bit after christmas. If there is any specific items that you were interested in, just let me know & I can let you know either if its still available and if it is, when it will be listed for auction.
