I need Magna Carta to complete my 1963 Topps set. I think he pitched in a few games for that 1962 Mets team that lost 120 games and it was his only season in the the Major Leagues. I'll start the bidding at $5.

    You hurt me deeply:

Merrick died in his sleep in 1890. Nearly all of his body was preserved, though most of the specimens have been lost. His skeleton is still in a museum in Britain (it is not, nor ever was, owned by Michael Jackson).

    Stone,

Wasn't it you that had the gold from King Soloman's mines, the head of John the Baptist, hairs from John Brown's beard, and Crates of Tea from the Boston Tea Party up on ebay last week??????

Hmmm.. makes me wonder if you were the same person who sold it, but I picked up a piece of wood from Noah's Ark on eBay a couple weeks ago... with all the recent hype, I thought I would try to flip it... but then thought about another possibility...

I asked Topps if they wanted it so they could slice it up and make insert cards out of it, and they loved the idea.
  • VarghaVargha Posts: 2,392 ✭✭
They're doing the same thing with my piece of the Shroud of Turin. The set will be #'ed to 100 on the inserts in the Cool Cats of the Bible set they are putting out. The Moses parting the red Sea Chrome card is going to be awesome!

OK, you're having me bring out some more of the big stuff:

#11 The Chalice - yes the one used by Christ at the "Last Supper"

    Enjoy!

You're stealing my thunder! The problem with that one was going to be the ebay shipping cost!

You mean that yellowed, crinkly, old smelling Declaration of Independence I bough at the gift shop near the Liberty Bell is a fake!! I am bummed.
Proud of my 16x20 autographed and framed collection - all signed in person. Not big on modern - I'm stuck in the past!

Can you provide a scan of you holding my virginity?
  • jrdolanjrdolan Posts: 2,549 ✭✭
Do you have a scan of the reverse of the Mona Lisa? Is it the white or greyback variety? Any wax stains? How's the centering on the back? Will you throw in some free Mantles for my nephew who loves Mick?

I own a reverse negative of the Mona Lisa. And I have the progression proofs of the Ark....which by the way starts as a bark of tree. One of the Ark proofs is signed by Noah...and it is a true 1/1.
As for my virginity, that was stolen from me when I was 16 and havent found the person who took it from me....but if I do find them, I'll be sure to try and get it back and put it on ebay for auction. So if any of you see this person who stole my virginity, please contact me and your local authorities at once! And maybe even call the FBI and SWAT!

I'd be very cautious bidding on this guys stuff. That chalice looks exactly like the one the "king" was using when I was at Medieval Times! I don't want to accuse the guy of anything, BUT..I really wonder if he has all the items, and if he does, are they legit? Maybe I'll email him and ask for the PSA/DNA numbers so I can check.

This should be a "no edit" zone - whatever's on your mind should be posted and left here.
Where do you think I should set the opening bids on the following:
    1. A conscience, poor to fair condition
    2. A conscience, mint, never used
    3. An unopened box of will power
    4. A reputation, slightly tarnished
    4. A tomorrow

Also, I have one of these left, slightly used condition:
