Whatever became of Rick Asadorian?

Remember this guy? Whatever happened to him and is he
even playing ball somewhere?

I forgot about him...I think this is your boy

I remember selling his 00 TSC Chrome rookie for $20
Found this on eBay Bowman Chrome Rookie PSA 10 $2.99
I bet someone really took a bath on that card.

He was just drafted in the Rule 5 draft the other day. For the second time. This time the Reds took him from Texas.

Really, Asadorian is what he always was...a great athelete that can run, throw and play defense. Those are fine qualities in an outfielder, but not as important as being able to hit a thrown baseball with consistency, authority and power. I'll take those skills over Asadorian's every day of the week. He was ridiculously overrated from the day he was drafted.
  • Thanks guys. I just remember his cards being really expensive....the refractors, etc and all the
hype he was getting. I still have a couple of his cards that are graded 9.5 bgs still sitting around.

Did you invest in him? I sure feel sorry for those who did. I wish I had an old price guide handy just to see what they were booking, eventhough they were fetching over book.
  • I only have 2 of his RC cards, so i wouldn't say that is investing.
I was looking through some of my stuff and found the 2 so I was just wondering.
This is when I was still doing baseball and sent those 2 in. I have the
Finest Refrac, and the Topps Chrome Refrac. Probably not worth anything, but
I'll just hang on to them for now. May just be another Brien Taylor in the making.
    Oh well.

Those two in BGS 9.5 would have been some niiiice coin.
