I have the opportunity to buy some Morgans.......

A 1887/6 PCGS MS64 PL and a 1979-O MS65 old ANA slab that's frosted...... been with a collector for awhile....

What would you pay for say "average quality" The 87/6 has some rainbow rim toning about 1/4 around the coin at the top.......

    There are surprising many of the 1887/6 around in 64PL. Personally, I think it's an overrated and overpriced variety -- and I am a big fan of varieties. I wouldn't pay more than a few hundred over ask for the 64PL.

    As for the 79-O in 65, well... I wouldn't pay more than 64 money for it.

    But that's just me.

    Current grey sheet Bid and Ask on a '79-O in 64 are $360 and $395. At MS65 they jump to $2600 and $2900... hence my earlier answer.
