Upgrades to my Registry set...a personal thanks!

I want to thank my good friend Pat Mullen for recently allowing me the opportunity to pick up 5 very nice MS67 Washington quarters from him, for upgrades to my set. Coins I added are as follows:
1935-D MS67, pop. 8. This is one of the prettiest '35-D's I've ever seen. Has some light toning with SUPER luster and is a rock-solid 7.
1937-S MS67, pop. 11. This coin is also lightly toned, and is technically as nice as any MS67 I own.
1945-D MS67, pop. 14. Blast white and beautiful.
1946-D, MS67, pop. 16. Blast white and beautiful.
1952-D MS67, pop. 6. This coin is one of the most beautifully toned Washington quarters I've ever seen. Has vibrant neon colors on both the obv. and rev. with superior eye appeal.
For those of you who don't know Pat, his Washington quarter collection was and still is the all-time no. 1 variety set...no small accomplishment, to be sure! I got to know pat this past Summer when I purchased his MS65 1932-D quarter. Since then, Pat and I have became good friends. Pat's knowledge of the hobby is impressive, as well as his eye for great coins! Pat is a really nice guy, and I just want to again say "thank you, Pat", for allowing me the oppotunity to put some great coins into my collection that once belonged to you!![image](https://us.v-cdn.net/6027503/uploads/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif)

Keep the comments coming!!!! I miss my Washingtons already!
You'll end up with one of the best sets ever... just glad a few of my coins have made their way into your set.
Pat
Thank you for yor kind remarks, I do apprecaite them. If I can stay in the top 5 of the registry, I will be happy, but I will be happy regardless! The Washington Registry competition has gotten to be really tough in this series. I can tell you this much...this is s great series and I still think we are yet to see it's full potential in the coming years...that is my opinion, anyway.
It's never too late to begin building another great Washington set, and you could certainly do it. I can however, tell you for a fact that there's one very special MS65 '32-D quarter that you'll never be able to put back into your collection!!
Tom
If anybody knows their Washingtons, it's these two.
Just when I thought I'd gotten a little breathing room...
Here's a warning parable for coin collectors...
I do have some duplicate date Washingtons in MS66. If there are specific dates you're looking for, email me at: thomas.schiera@hospira.com
I may or may not have some of the dates you need, but ya never know unless you ask!
Thanks,
Tom

I was fortunate to pick up some very nice coins through my good friend Pat Mullen. The '35-D is one on the nicest ones (maybe the nicest) I had ever seen, and the rest were all PQ, too, IMO. '52-D has some killer toning...gorgeous! I feel real fortunate and honored that Pat wanted to see these coins go into my set. Couldn't have asked for a better Christmas present for myself! Now I will have to start "whittling" away at the rest of the 7's I still need, and I still need several. It's going to take a while, but I've already got my eye on a spectacular blast white MS67 '39-S that I just had sent to me on approval...nicest one I've ever seen, hands down. The strike on this coin is phenomenal...so bold that you can see heavy, raised die polish lines in both the obverse fields..very cool! The revesre almost looks to have the detailing of a proof issue...don't think I can let this one get away! Sweet coin!
Happy Holidays!

I kept a blast white coin in my set - only blast white 35(d) MS67 quarter I have ever seen (and still have ever seen). Craig's 35(d) is also a killer coin with lovely color. Which brings up an interesting point - even though we love colorful Wash quarters - just like your situation with the blast white 39(s) you are debating, when it comes to early date Wash quarters, especially the mintmarked coins, we all know blast white TRUE MS67 brilliant jewels are few and far between.

Good observations regarding the early branch-mint Washingtons being tough to find blast white, and true MS67's! I have as much of an affinity for solid, high-end blast white MS67's as I do for ones with great toning. Both the '45-D and '46-D MS67's I just picked up from Pat Mullen are blast white, and both are virtually mark-free...gorgeous, in my opinion! As you know, both these dates are quite tough to find like this in MS67. I am VERY PLEASED with them both! I have a real nice balst white '45-D in 6 and I don't know that I can let it go, either!
Happy Holidays! snowman;
