Wisconsin quarters

Was wondering if u all have seen many Wisconsin quarters. I haven’t spotted the first one. Maybe the federal reserve figures we don’t need any more quarters down here in Kentucky. Ask the guy at the bank and he's only seen a couple.

Second and third question. What is SMS, halves and DDO, lincolns all about.

Each "D" quarter has shown up here in Great Falls MT within no more than a month after first mintingimage

I just hope that timing holds true for Texas, since I'm moving there in 4 days.

  • I found one in change at the post office. Not bad looking. One of the better ones I think.
  • I picked a D roll up today. Don't get out a lot but when I do I generally use a check or bank card, so don't see much change.

    SMS - Special Mint Set
    DDO - Double Die Obverse
    Halves - Half Dollars?

    I think.
  • I have seen both Wisconsin and Texas quarters all over in change recently here in Houston, Texas.

    I like them both.

I haven't seen a Texas, Iowa, Wisconson, or a keel-boat nickel here in LA nor in San Dieogo.

I have all of the above. How may I help you?
  • Just saw my first WI quarters in circulation yesterday. Ps. Usually takes a year for Ds to get to Conn.
  • I've already been through about 30 rolls of Wis Ds here in Michigan.

I've found that plastic wrapped bank rolls (Wells Fargo has them) are usually not very good. I don't know if it's the type of roller (i think it is), but they are not nearly as nice as the paper wrapped rolls. I went through about 20 plastic wrapped rolls of Wis Ds and pulled out two that I thought had a shot at MS68, then I picked up a few paper wrapped rolls and immeadiately snagged a lock MS68, shot MS69.

Now, if I could just get my hands on a about 50 rolls of Wis-Ps...I'd be all set.

They are all over the place here in Wisconsin. And those suckers are the ugliest quarter so far! I surely hope they are not the lowest mintage. That would be a pitty!
