RGL, no slam taken. The cheek "chatter" is die-made, and the spotting you are seeing is magnified significantly by the large images. I believe the coin easily merits the assigned grade.

Would you explain what you mean by "die-made"? Are the lines/marks raised? Particularly the ones on the cheek bone?

Here's the 1940 5c PCGS PR67 that I am proud to have owned for the past
two and a half years. I just sold it within the past week and wouldn't mind
at all if the buyer exercises the return privilege.
