About the 1909 cards: I got most of them along with the Mickey Mantle’s at a garage sale. I bought a box full of baseball cards to a guy who’s father died of cancer last year.

The box had lots of 1980’s baseball cards and there it was , 1909 cards , 1951 and 1952 mickey mantle cards and a lot of other great players. The graded Wagner was among the cards . I really don’t know its true origin.

<< <i>I will be forced to state every ungraded card as a reprint or as a possible reprint even though I believe they are the real deal. >>

  • Man, I want to bid but I have a hunch this may be too good to be true. Maybe if I seduce the seller, he'll hand over one of them sweet Bonds cards.image

looks like the bonds auto is certified by Grademycards.com
  • Let's bid it up to, oh, six million dollars or so.

Edit: Doh! It's got a "buy it now" price.

I think you guys are being unfair once again. This seller obviously knows his stuff when it comes to rare sports cards. His previous auctions are...lemme see...a sexy Chinese girl tattoo, Ford Mustang smoke headlights, Ford Mustang keyless remote (OK, maybe he keeps his rare sports cards in his Ford Mustang), and a skull necklace.

    Never mind.

    Skull necklace you say?

I have no problem w/ that, kind of adds legitimacy IMHO.

    I got a snake man....

The photos are so small and low-rez that I can't even make out the grading company. He's sticking reprints in kitchen-table holders and asking $10K? Gee, who could say no. This guy must have his escape plan worked out so that he is gone within hours of getting the money.
  • Nah, he's totally legit. I emailed him and he told me so. He gave me his word, and where I'm from that's enough for me. If anybody needs me I'll be at the bank. I don't think I can purchase an American $10,000.00 money order, but I will sure as hell try.

    Godspeed.

He also guaranteed me the inclusion of a sexy press-on tattoo if I used the Buy it Now...I forget, is it safe when the seller wants the package delivered to a P.O. Box? What do I care, I'm gonna be rich!!!!

    See ya later suckers...image

  • "I don't know about cards...." but he continues with the ever famous disclaimer "Please understand that to comply with ebay’s listing policies, I will be forced to state every ungraded card as is with no garantees expressed or implied."

Does ebay have such a policy? Does stating this mean that you're no longer on the hook for taking thousands of dollars because you hinted that you might be ripping people off?

  • wow,he has 2 bids.i'll bet he placed both of them. check out the bid times less than 1 minute apart.nothing like a good old rip someone off on ebay to get christmas money! i sure hope no one is dumb enough to bid on this rip-offs auction. he also dropped the $5k reserve and add the following.....I HAVE RECIEVED SOME QUESTIONS REGARDING THIS AUCTION AND ,

YES ALL THE CARDS LISTED IN THE AUCTION ARE THE ONES YOU WILL RECIEVE.

THIS IS NOT A 10,000 LOTS BASEBALL CARDS AUCTION... THESE IS THE BEST LOT YOU WILL EVER RECIEVE , STARS ,STARS AND MORE STARS.

    what a dumb-ass
  • "Folks, don't miss your chance to bid on this PRIStttttt-INE lot, it won't last long and operators are standing by!!!!!" Sorry, Senior West popped immediately into my head when I read the auction.
