Here is a Laos 50 kip and a cook island 5 dollars - I was disappointed in the Laos at first because of the diagonal streaks but the more I looked at it the more it made it look like it was in a wind storm
Does anyone know how those streaks get on a silver coin?
The cook island coin is smaller but neat looking.

Was the Laotian in a velvet lined box for a long time? Most coins I've seen stored like that (Brit proof sets pre-60's come to mind) get wierd streaks of toning like that, usually much more noticeable on copper.
