Lincoln books almost full 1909 to 1978 value?

The coins range from good to vg. Missing 1909 vdb's. Worth much? Full through dates except the 1909's.

How do I tell if it's authentic? I got them from my aunt.

Rough guess.... $100 to $200 to a dealer, sight seen. Without the 1909SVDB and with a 1914D maybe fine, that's about all you can expect IMHO. Steve

Can you show us an image of the 1914-D? The larger the image, the better.

This is unfortunately a fairly common date that is found counterfeited. A small copper D can be epoxied just below the date or one can take a 1944-D and carefully grind away parts fo the first 4 to make it look like a 1.

Yes I will get a pic of the 1914D but cannot until the weekend. The coins I have were found in an abandoned apartment complex and given to my aunt and then given to me. Nice huh?

I think there is a bid/ask price for complete sets in the grey sheets.

Regarding the ID of the 1914-D...look first for the VDB initials on the sholuder. If they are there, its a fake. There is also a die break from the rim to the right side of the bust. If the coin is worn, both my be hard to detect.
