  • Not this time but I might later in the year.
My next planned fair is Dublin in February.

  • No problem, Tony.

For the record, the YORK Coin Fair is on twice-yearly: January and July.

    Cheers

I do miss them even after all these years.
They were a lot of fun and I bought a lot of nice coins there.

Let me know if Robert Pratt is still doing those shows. If so, tell him hi from the Yank named Bob.

Maybe nose around and see if Pat O'Hara is doing coins anymore. (He was in Glasgow 12-14 years ago)

The most money I made are on coins I haven't sold.

    Got quoins?

Hi - sorry to say that I don't think either of the people you mentioned is a regular on the coin fair scene. I do agree with you - a lot of fun and a good place to meet fellow coinpeople, whichever side of the table you stand!image

    Yep, great folks there.

The dealers especially liked to see me cause I bought a lot of foreign junk (USA) from them. image All I could find, in fact.

  • For the collector, it's a great place to visit. A large number of dealers all under one roof with a great selection of coins. You must bear in mind that some dealers only 'do' fairs - no lists, no websites, no eBay(!) so the only place you'll get to see their stock is at one of these venues.

Anyone coming along to York? Do drop by my table and say hello!
