Teletrade Auctions...how do they ship the coins and how soon do they ship?

I used Teletrade for the first time tonight. I won a few coins. I am wondering how soon they usually ship a coin after an auction ends? I am also curious as to their method of shipment?

It will be within the USA.

Thanks image

If you pay by credit card online, they will probably ship tomorrow or Wednesday. They don't fool around. I live in CA, and if I win an auction on Sunday, I usually have the coin in hand by Tuesday.

I'm not sure what the method of shipment is called, but it requires a signature.

  • On the East Coast, it's about a week with credit card payment.

I guess I benefit from being in CA and so close to their offices. image

    Hi JoshL:

I've bought many coins from Teletrade and I can't recall a time they didn't ship the next business day.
In fact, I bought a coin in their auction yesterday and got shipment notice today.
Never a problem with them here.

Peaceman has a problem withTeletrades policy of charging a percentage if you return the coin. Teletrade says to it's customes that they are not an approval service so don't bid on a coin if you dont want to own it , Peaceman says they try to stick you with bad pics and substandard coins, you will have to decide for yourself. It's as simple as that-------------------------------------BigE

They usually ship right after payment is received. Two of the last three auctions I won came from Irvine, CA which is only about an hour north of San Diego. Those two arrived via first class mail two days after I paid. Everything I've won so far has been shipped in a padded envelope. The slab is also inside one of those cardboard mailers inside the padded envelope.

    Thanks for all the info.

I will await my coins and post my thoughts (once they arrive).

I think it's priority or express mail; when I've purchased gold coins from them the coins are at my door -- fast, and I recall having to sign. I like the way Teletrade ships them, too, with little pieces of styrofoam in between the slabs, and your stack of slabs will be further secured/cushioned to prevent jostling. Unfortunately, that's about the only nice thing I can say about Teletrade of late . . . .
