teletrade - "Realized price pending"...what does that really mean?

So, I see something I want/need on teletrade.
Never used it before. Never won. Never tried to win.

This time I put in some bids. I go, eat dinner, come back.
The coin I put a bid in before dinner had my bid as top. Now, it says "Realized price pending".

So, does that mean they don't know what the last winning bid was? They have to ask someone first?
Why not just leave up the last/highest price bid?

  • go to your account info, there you will see your invoices if you won.

  • What did you bid on? I just bought 2 coins but I put in the bid at 6.30PM.
  • I don't know.... I'm getting a little tired of posting this.... maybe I'll let it go.......

For those of you who are not aware, if you return a coin to Teletrade you WILL incur a “restock” fee along with other fees they see fit no matter how many coins you’ve bought from them in the past. I personally lost over $ 50.00 returning a $ 850 coin after I didn’t agree with the coin’s description. Frankly, it wasn’t even close to the description. Good luck with your purchase..........

    No... I don't think so....image

    Thanks CDan....

    I didn't win then. I bid on the PCGS MS66 1968-D nickel.
Oh well...still searching for one. I wonder what the winning bid was?????

It looked ok, and would complete my set, but for just an ok looking coin, I wasn't going to bid higher than i did.

    Boy, something went wrong.
I "bid" $70 on that coin and they are showing a realized price of $60!

So, either my bid didn't go through, although it said it did when I was online yesterday, or a different problem happened.

I had originally bid $55, then changed my mind last night and bid $70. Each time I went through the 4-5 steps or whatever to confirm the bid.

Oh well, I didn't get it, the seller didn't get at least $10 more (16%+ more), and teletrade didn't get the extra "juice".
Small scale, but if these "problems" occur more frequently, then there is a lot of money left on the table.
