Looking for Information on this Elaborate Counterstamp - FRM

image

A board member, Memoryboy, asked me to post this for him. He is looking for any ideas or information people might have on the rather elaborate "FRM" counterstamp on this 1877 Indian Head Cent. The coin was double holed to wear flat on a necklace or charm.

Thanks,

Here's my educated guess after doing a little research...

This was the centerpiece of a bracelet worn in the early 20th century, Gold or Silver linked in both holes (If you have a microscope, check for appropriate rub and residue on the outer rims of each hole), with the FRM initials being a unique stamp of the wearer's initials or a loved one of the wearer's initials. I couldn't appropriately age the stamp without closer examination, while there is green patina forming in the incuse of the stamp, it also has a relatively high amount of luster in other portions, did it possibly have a complete green patina formed on the inside of the incuse of the stamp that was scraped out at some point?

Anyways, just my guess. Good luck with the research, and very nice piece overall!
