This is the second of the two that I made. The first is already with his new adoptive daddy.
And, this is the Frankie that graded PR67*:
I surely do LOVE cameo proofs!

Have you ever noticed that Frankies aren't near as homely looking when they have nice cameo contrast?

Nice pair!
I cant even play the MODERN CRAP card !
But RGL handled it nicely !
BTW,i think you got robbed on the Frankie !
Nice job Russ. Too bad the top coin is not a Franklin

Funny thing is that I have no doubt it would grade cameo at PCGS. It's the slightly different emphasis between the two grading services. In this case, NGC felt the reverse devices were a touch too silvery. PCGS leans more toward mirror depth, and it's very strong in that department.

Capped Bust Half Dime Series
It'll be interesting to see how they grade it. I think it should go UCAM, but we'll see.

It may just be your picture, but I think the light frost on the upper-left part of the reverse, the wooden thingie at the top of the bell, is a little light on frost, which is why it got a star, but no CAM...

From that pix its tough to tell, type 1 or 2 ?

I WISH it were a Type 1!

You have great coins and awesome pictures. I went back and looked at mine and wasn’t at all happy because my pic doesn’t even come close to what the coin looks like. I took the coin out of the bag and scanned it again. This is the front and the back.
Obverse
Reverse
I found out that the glass on my scanner is filthy on the inside and I have no idea how to clean it. But, I swear, the coin has a mirror like appearance.

It looks like a nice coin, but for proof Franklins of that vintage you need a high grade cameo coin to make it worth submitting. To illustrate, I'd point out that I'll be lucky to just break even on the one I posted that just graded at NGC.

I dont know if you are familiar with gambling terms for horse racing.
If that was a type 1,it would "Light Up The TOTE BOARD"
Which is the same as double Cha Chings and 1.5 YOU SUCKS.
EX: I bet a 3 Horse win parlay one time,1st horse wins,2nd wins, have an 88 buck win bet on the 3rd horse
Well he wins and pays 156.40 for 2 bucks,44x156.40,started with a 20 bet,you do the math !

The first of the two Kennedys is sold. For now, I'm keeping the second - at least for a while so I can enjoy it. The Frankie isn't worth much.
