1969 Perez PSA 9...$300+

I set my bidnapper at 161.01 and I was surprised to see "Bid Too Low" in my past auctions. When I pulled up the auction the $305 hammer threw me back on my heels a bit. There were three bidders at $200 or more. I was hoping to "steal" the card at 100-150. I guess I'll have to move on from the '69 Perez. I had no idea it was that sought after. I was looking at the '72 Grote that was up as well. It closed at $214. I was being "aggressive" at 156. That card is a lower population and with the set builders out there I knew it would go strong, but that was REAL strong. The market appears alive and kicking in spots and deader than the proverbial doornail in others. I guess it's the nature of the beast. Do you '69 guys think that Perez can be had in a nice 9 for under $200, or is always a $300 card?

The only PSA 9 Perez sale on eBay from 01/01/04 through 10/13/04 was for $177.50 on 01/19.
8s show up much more often and typically sell in the $25 to $35 range.

Answer to question. $200 sounds more like it.

Thanks so much. I really would like a solid 9 example with a clean, pink back. I will keep peeking about for a $200 copy. I'm glad is sounds like the $300+ was not typical. The Perez I want the most is the '70. A strong 8 will do just fine for me there. I'll trade corner touches for image and centering on that one.
