From reading your posts on this board, you seem like you have a lot of sour grapes about the Montreal Expos because they let all of their good players go and now they are moving their team to Washington. I would be upset too. Although the Yankees are my team, I do think that baseball needs a true salary cap because Boss George takes advantage of the "pretend" salary cap by gettting what he wants by paying penalties to other teams by going over it.
Are you going to root for Washington (Montreal) next year or switch to Toronto? Do you live in Canada?

I honestly don't have sour grapes, I really do love Javy Vasquez and obviously watch the box scores for every Vladdy at bat the following day during the season. I am simply mind-boggled at what Pavano is getting, I think out of 99% of this board I have seen more Pavano pitched games than anyone, including about 4 live ones in Montreal. I will guarantee that this guy has worse numbers than Javy next year and am just shocked they would rather have Pavano than Javy. If they're going to sign Pavano because Arizona wants him maybe that makes sense, but to sign him and get rid of Javy is mind-blowing!
I will still follow my Spos next year as I also believe Brad Wilkerson will start putting up 30 homer and 100 RBI seasons starting then and right now he's my favorite player still on the Spos. I honestly don't know if I'll cheer for the team though, as it just won't be the same. I actually live in Toronto, but am not, nor have ever, been a Jays fan. It's cool to live an hour walk from the Skydome though, so I get to see all the big games and never have trouble getting tickets even against the Yankees or Sox (I like to buy the $20 tickets and then go and sit in the empty $40 seats--very easy here as there are always some empty). I think I'm going to just follow my favorite players from now on and not worry so much about any particular team. No offense, but because I'm a bigger hockey fan, and the Canadiens are my team, I have to always cheer against the Yankees as your team, and mine, are the most winningest franchises in their respective sports. So even though I do hate the Yanks for going way over the salary cap every year, I dislike them so much because they now have 2 more championships than the Habs.
Lastly, I don't think a salary cap will fix anything in baseball, as George starts on a way higher level every year before he's even sold one ticket because of his TV deal. But I would like to see a seperate division eventually where the Yanks play with the Sox and any other team over 100 mil. I think baseball would be a lot more fun to watch then. It still is nice to see Vladdy become the best that's ever played though, every time he touches the field.
Thanks for asking, and just so you know, I don't take anything personally and I hope you don't either. I think we should all have the right to like, and dislike, whoever we like. I'm sure you're a nice guy, and I think you'd find I'm O.K too.
