    That is a nice one!.... First year of Republic coinage for Ireland, low mintage of 312,000, with an XF example at $65 & UNC at $225 {2004 Krause}. I have the 1965..... image

    I have always associated potatoes with the Irish potato famine of 1813 (?). On the other hand a coin depicting Irish whiskey would be great image

    Yes, that would be funny to have a Guiness mug or bottle on a coin! image

    This is the key date of the series. Unfortunately, this coin has some rim damage.image Even so, it has wonderful toning and overall appearance.
