Dear Mr. Hall
I am rather new to the Boards, having started my first registry set in 2002. I have been particularly fascinated with the proof sets. Had you or anyone to your knowledge ever considered a proof registry set from 1968 to 1998?
While I can appreciate that you receive a number of suggestions, let me provide the basis for my suggestion. First, the 1968 to present registry is very daunting given the number of coins (given the state quarters and nickels) and years (36 years and counting) encompassed by this registry. This may discourage some from participating.
The other multiple year proof sets cover no more than 15 years. A set from 1968 to 1998 allows for a great potential for achieving satisfaction and ending at 1998 may be appropriate as this is the last year before the state quarter program began.
If you have any questions about interest, a survey or participants in the multi-year proof registry set may be useful. Thanks for your attention.
