New camera for Christmas

Apologies if I missed a recent thread on this but I may treat myself to a new SLR digital camera for Christmas. I guess most things on the market are satisfactory for general family snaps but what do I need to look at for coin photography?

So all recommendations and words of wisdom will be welcome, especially when it comes to a macro lens and indications of price

I use a Canon Digital Rebel with a 100 mm Macr lens to take pics like this.

B & H photo ios a great camera store on the net.

B&H is where I bought mine. And Mgoodm takes awesome pics with his setup. I chose the Canon because I had then film version.
