Your favorite woodshed of 2004

With the year winding down, I'd be interested in your three favorite woodsheds of 2004.

Mine.......................

1. LA Lakers woodshed with Ben Wallace at the paddle.
2. NY Yankee woodshed with Curt Schilling at the paddle.
3. Team USA Olympic Basketball team shed with European teams at the paddle.

  • how about joestalin woodshed with every rational poster at the paddle?

2004 will always be about the single greatest collapse in professional sports playoff history. The NY Yankees, behind the woodshed, with the paddle being passed around by too many great Red Sox players to mention in a mere single post.

Ahh yes the woodshed has been working overtime this year, and what we still haven't had the end of
college football and the pros. Minnesota has two possible visits coming up, with the Vikes and the
Twolves. There will also be some top 5 woodshed in college football.

    A few of mine:

    1) The bucs taking the mighty Falcons deep into the woods and spanking them soundly. Vick is walking
    funny these days.
    2) Carlos Arroyo and his 6 figure salary taking Jeter and Arod and their 8 figure salaries behind the shed..."yes
Mr Arroyo, may I have another?"
    3) Pittsburg talking the patsies and Eagles on back to back weeks to the shed. TO was last seen yelling at
McNad for rights to first spankage.
    4) The Miami Hurricanes, for showing up assuming the position, for several weeks at the old ACC shed...welcome!

Might we also mention all the "fans" here who were taken to the shed but never came back? I think they all
    know who they are!

  • umm.. who is carlos arroyo? If you are refering to the Greatest Red Sox team of all time, you are refering to Bronson Arroyo

LOL yeah so great I forgot his name! I bet you were a cards fan at the start of the playoffs and then
a Red Sox fan at the end.

  • How about losing your season home opener to the Seahawks 10-6, one week after letting the Redskins take you to the shed?

I know, I know, somehow the 2004 Eagles are still a worse team than the 2004 Bucs ...

What about letting the Panthers come into your stadium and own you and take you to the NFC South woodshed
for the second year in a row?

If you played the Seahawks would you be happy with holding them to 10 points?

  • My favorite woodshed is gonna be whichever team beats the Buc's in their next 4 games, cause one more loss and it's season over for them. So which ever team does that to them will be my favorite woodshed moment. That or Kevin Garnett taking Stalin behind the woodshed, whichever one of them comes first will be fine.image
Culpepper to ?, only God knows at this point!
  • 4) The Miami Hurricanes, for showing up assuming the position, for several weeks at the old ACC shed...welcome!

Thanks for the welcome Kevin! You are right on about "assuming the position" - that position is once again beating the Noles! Thanks for the welcome.

Red Sox spankin that sissy Arod hands down.

My personal wishful woodshed is that the Bucs make it the NFC title game, and have McNabb and company give em the biggest asswhomp they have ever experienced.

  • 1) Seeing joestalin crawl into the woodshed SEVEN times this year when the Trample Bay lost, and he stayed in the shed for 4 consecutive weeks at the start of the season. image:

    Sun. Sep. 12 @Washington Loss 16-10
Sun. Sep. 19 Seattle Loss 10-6
    Sun. Sep. 26 @Oakland Loss 30-20
Sun. Oct. 3 Denver Loss 16-13
    Mon. Oct. 18 @St. Louis Loss 28-21
    Sun. Nov. 14 @Atlanta Loss 24-14
    Sun. Nov. 28 @Carolina Loss 21-14

    2) Seeing joestalin do somersaults into the woodshed when his Phloundering Phillies didn't even qualify for the playoffs in the WEAK NL East. In fact they were sub .500 for most of the season.

Those are some good one's for THIS YEAR. I must disagree with my honorable board member Ctsoxfan. True, big collapse - Yanks finally got beaten by the Sox this year. Law of averages? You keep going to the dance and you're not gonna win 'em all. Pales in comparison to the 1978 Sox big time collapse of all times. Choke city. They didn't just lose a series, they lost a season and a some.
Proud of my 16x20 autographed and framed collection - all signed in person. Not big on modern - I'm stuck in the past!

That was a pretty weak comparison...We have never lost by more than 10 and our average margin
of loss was less than 7! We have been in every game, can't say that about your Giants...

or are you still on that bandwagon?

Ill have to admit you have been the worse fan here...gone when the Yanks choked and gone when the Giants
choke. You are the kind of "fan" that none of us want to be around. You will only back your team after a win.

You should be ashamed of posting on this thread with a bunch of real fans.

Been a Yankees, Giants, Knicks, and Rangers fan all of my life, good times and bad. Now go back to the woodshed and stop trying to change the subject about Trampled Bay.

you see you just proved my point...no real fan likes three teams in the same sport. Thats for bandwagon
jumpers. Its one team and all the rest suck. Just go away and come back when you have that
    figured out!

Man, I must have missed that game this season.

<< <i>If you played the Seahawks would you be happy with holding them to 10 points? >>

Sure - though it wouldn't really matter, as the Eagles would put up 35 points on that sad D (unlike the 6 the Bucs scraped up).
