Those pictuers are way too freaky to grade from, but I'll take a wild guess anyway:

AU and Fine. That's the best I can do.

Buyer and seller of vintage coin boards!

They are scansimage Thanks for trying. I'm XF-AU on the 78, the 79 is where I'm a little insecure. I'm thinking Fine as well, but You know the old story..the seller grades 1 point higher, the buyer grades 1 point lower!image

  • Both coins appear to have surfaces so severely altered, with multiple dips to begin with, that they will not be graded by a reputable service IMHO. Tha rim dings by themselves also might peclude a grade. ANACS may net grade them, but I wouldn't think at a very high level (VF-20 or less ). Two very abused coins, worth a lot before altered my an amateur.

I'll say EF-40 on the 78 and fine on the 79. image

The first coin looks like a high grade AU, in terms of wear, but one that has been cleaned or polished? The second one, which also appears to have been cleaned or polished, looks to be VF, if not XF (in terms of detail).

Disclaimer - I rarely look at circulated Morgan's, and I don't claim to know how they would be net-graded. But, since the owner hopefully wont be spending his money to have them certified, I wont worry about it.image

No Certs here. I know someone looking for some, and I thought about a trade. The 78 I have no problem with, the 79 I'd be uncomfortable trading due to the MS-70 treatment and the rim dings. I wouldnt know it's value (NET grade) with those considerations. Maybe I'll punch a hole in it and sell it to LordMimage
