Holed coin collectors, here's a nice half dime.

Are two holes better than one ?

Nice details on the coin. The double hole was most likely so that you could thread string or a chain through each hole and still have one of the faces exposed flat (Bracelet or Necklace). Fortunately Holed Capped Bust Half Dimes are a dime a dozen (No pun intended) and are a great series, along with Seated coinage for any new holed coin collector to start on that wishes to compile a year set of an older type.
  • I am surprised that you didn't bid on the other 5 he has.......or do you already have them?

I already have a date set for capped bust half dimes, I'm bidding on the first because I like the looks of it image (I'll probably go ahead and snatch up the second though, now that you've said something, and not just snipe it)
