If you do a search on Heritage, there is probably a dozen uncirculated 1887 Seated Dimes....Mostly MS-64 and MS-65. Did I miss the story behind these?
Did someone find a roll of the things?
An old hoard broken up?
Did they get beamed in from Mars?
Or have they always been super common? The price guides don't seem to indicate they are any more common than preceeding or succeeding dates.
Probably a story known to just a few.....
Added: Not trusting my memory, I just checked again. There's actually more than 2 dozen.....

Wondering if the day crowd has a clue???
(Yes, this makes me cheap.....and if I wait long enough, I won't have one.)

Can't say I blame you! Trends puts the MS-64 at $600 retail, (yeah...I know), and CDN puts the type at $315 bid. If you ever wanted an uncirc seated dime, now is probably the time!
(Dang....I think I'm talking myself into it....again).
