interesting.. mine would also be an OPC card.. although my "wants" change often, right now I would really like to have a high grade 1976 OPC Eckersley rookie..

but im sure there are other cards from the 1970's that I would rather have, but cant think of right now at this hour..

At this point in time, since I'm all about 78 topps, I would like a PSA 10 Eddie Murray. Did ya here that Santa?

    Great question!
The 73OPC Schmidt. I did pick up this year a card that I have wanted for a while...found it by accident.

That's a pretty '74 Winfield you got there. I just finished a '74 Topps set and am amazed at how cheap it was to do.

My favorite gem would be the 1971 Lou Brock. The "genius" who came up with black borders made it tough to find these cards in mint condition, and Lou Brock remains my favorite Cardinal today (Stan Musial was pre-me, but still runs a close 2nd).

I'll take a 71 Thurman Munson, perhaps one of the single nicest looking cards printed during the entire decade, and nearly impossible to find centered and in top shape.
  • Don't forget about football!!

I would LOVE to have a 1971 Terry Bradshaw psa-10!!!! There are none out there yet, actually there are only around 7 psa-9's. Awesome card!!

ANY 1971 Topps. Those are tough to even get an 8 on. I would love to have a 1971 Topps Nolan Ryan or Roberto Clemente! Those would bring some serious money. If I remember right, a Bert Campaneris PSA 10 sold for over (?) $1,400.00!

I just thought of this one. Another VERY tough card is the 1979 Topps Ozzie Smith RC. Just about everyone I have seen is VERY o/c. I have gotten one 8 though.

Ditto, also the &2 topps Ryan in a PSA 10 slab would be a real eye grabber. Great colors, nice close up. I love the 71 Ryan as well, but the picture is so far away.

1971 Topps Greatest Moments, can't pick a player. Lots of great ones to choose from. Or since it's just a fantasy, maybe a Roberto Clemente, Hank Aaron, or Nolan Ryan (they weren't in the set).
    WANTED:
2005 Origins Old Judge Brown #/20 and Black 1/1s, 2000 Ultimate Victory Gold #/25
2004 UD Legends Bake McBride autos & parallels, and 1974 Topps #601 PSA 9
Rare Grady Sizemore parallels, printing plates, autographs

  • If we're not staying strictly with baseball, then I'm definitely going with the 1979 OPC #18 Gretzky. With the blue borders, it needs to be in high grade to maintain visual appeal... unfortunately, that means I will likely never own one. image

How about a PSA 10 70-71 Topps Pete Maravich rookie. I am a huge Pistol Pete fan and I just love this card. It is a condition sensitive tallboy that is often OC. My second choice would be 76-77 Topps Julius Erving Another big card that is tough to find in good shape, plus you gotta love the FRO!

Too many to choose - but, I'll take a 1976 Walter Payton RC PSA 10. I have a sweet PSA 9, one of my favorite FB cards of all time.

I'll have to second that 1979-80 O-Pee-Chee Wayne Gretzky.
Does anyone even have a scan of the single PSA 10 that
exists? I'd love to see that card.

1974 OPC Nolan Ryan (followed closely by 1970 OPC Hank Aaron high number or 1970 OPC Johnny Bench All-Star)
  • I'd like a '75 Brett rookie PSA 10
