ebay search question

Is there a way to type in a search for either or? Let's say I want to search for a group of Ripken cards. Is there a way to search for the word Ripken and either collection or lot? I want to hit the Ripken lots and the Ripken collections. It is similar to using the minus sign. We all know that if I don't want Billy Ripken cards, then I type "-Billy". The same could be done when searching for PSA 9 and 10 Boggs cards. Can I only search 9 and 10 without getting the 7's and 8's?
Are there any other great search tricks?

I also tried "ripken (collection, lot)" (again without the quotes) and came up with 295 items, but it appears that alot of these are collections/lots of cards of numerous players, with Ripken being a small factor in them.

In the "(Ripken collection,Ripken lot)" query, it searches for those two words together...they must be consecutive.
Steve
This should give you all the psa-graded ripkens, but ONLY if they contain EITHER the words "lot" or "collection" also.
should eliminate most of the 7s and 8s from your search

The only problem I see with your idea is that you might be limiting yourself. If an auction title state Lot of 7 Boggs graded cards PSA 9, then you would miss this auction, or 1986 Topps Highlights Boggs #7 PSA 9.

Yep, you're right. Hadn't really considered that.
