Look at the close up photo - there appears to be a hair growing out of Miss Liberty's nose.

Dang ol Heritage. They could have at least groomed her up a little before they put her up for auction.

Well, whichever rich person buys them I hope they don't just hide them somewhere but rather share them in some manner or capacity (even if just in their own images).

I'll take the two Stella, please. A beautiful, perfectly matched set.
  • I want the 1787 brasher.... that is cool

Damn, makes me want to cry!

Andy what is your guess as to the Brashers selling for?
    Collecting since 1976.
  • All I want for Christmas is the two Pittman proof half eagles [1833 and 1835] each in a green label holder PCGS-67 [and conservatively graded].
    Collect for enjoyment

OMG! What a great offering. I remember the half eagles from the Pittman sale. The 1833 was unbelievable. There will be a lot of zeros when those coins sell. It is going to be great FUN to watch the auction action live.image
  • The Brashers, $700,000 each. ONE IS UNIQUE, (Right Andy?).

That's the old price - the new price starts with a one or a two or a three! image

Edited to add: the punch on breast example is unique as a variety... tho I personally don't see why placement of a punch should be such a big deal....
  • SethChandlerSethChandler Posts: 1,705 ✭✭✭✭
If I had 10 million to spend on coins, that's where it would go.

I'd say 3 million for the Brasher with the EB on breast.

Around 2 million for the other.

    My favs so far.............

    The two BDs.
    1833 Proof Five
    1835 Proof Five
Gem Proof and Gem 67 Type 2 Gold Dollar
    The Coiled Hair Stellas
    1839 Ten MS66
    1864 Proof Ten
    1813 MS66 Five

What's my tab up to now?.......Ten big big ones?

BTW, as a side footnote, isn't it cool to see so many great coins in first gen PCGS holders?
