Post-Auction Depression

Oh, woe is me. I just found out I got outbid on the floor of the Heritage Signature sale.
(For the interested, it was the 1806 VF Draped bust Quarter).
Frankly, I wasn't willing to go higher than I did. It went to the floor with my bid of $750, and I had a max of $800 on it. It sold for $850 (plus the juice).
But after staring at it, thinking about it, and wanting it for two weeks, it's a downer not to be getting it!!
Oh, well....More money to spend on other coins.

BTW, I feel your pain (not to sound too much like clinton) but it hurts to want something and realize someone else will get it.
<< <i>In retrospect do you feel it may have been better to go with a higher bid? Or do you think that may have simply ended up making someone else outbid you at a higher level? >>
Oh, I guess I wouldn't have done it any different. I did the "proper" thing....Decided on my highest bid, and stuck with it. After that, let the chips fall where they may!
I was actually surprised to get outbid. That either means I'm smarter than the winning bidder, or he's smarter than me. Take your pick.
