He is suddenly cashing in before his legacy fades.

I heard he also just signed an exclusive with Frito-Lay to have a life sized cut-out-card of his head inserted into their "Super Size" bags of Lays and Ruffles Potato Chips. Negotiations started with the "One Pounder"...... but his head wouldn't fit in the bag !!!!!

these message boards are funny, when Bonds is hitting them out there seems to be an unending stream
of Bonds fans, but when he is in trouble with drugs suddenly everyone is anti-Bonds...where are all the
people who were here when he was breaking 500 and 600?

Hey do you guys think PSA will grade this. Bonds actually did make a 2004 Topps card. image

    See below.

You may be wondering why I did that. I DO have a reason. I really didn't realize that Bonds didn't have a 2004 Topps card until just recently. I collect the TOPPS card of every MVP from each league. I have them displayed nicely in an album. Well, since Bonds didn't have a card, I didn't want that space blank. (Actually, I wanted Albert Pujols in that spot, but that's another topic altogether.) Anyway, I took some other cards from that year and did a little computer work, and....

Personally, I can't wait to get one of Bonds' new cards - I've been meaning to show my nephew how to put a baseball card in his bicycle spokes.

Hey knuckles, love that pic !

If Bonds signs in the Bowman Heritage set, I, for one, would be proud to have his auto for my collection.
A dual Mays/Bonds would be even better! Thank you.

I have several Bonds RC's, an auto'd ball, cap, bobblehead and 71st HR photo. I don't plan to "sell them cheap." Nor do I plan to spend another penny, however, on "The Ingrate." I acquired these items before it was obvious he was a juicer, even though I did not like his attitude towards the fans and the game.. To each his own. He is to some extent a reflection today's game...so I can see that point of view, even though I detest him.

    or in other words...

I may hate him, think he does drugs
and that he cheats, and treats fans terrible
and I have no respect for him as a human in anyway...

but he is a great player so I collect his stuff anyway!! image

you are moron and a BIG FAT HYPOCRITE!

Well, Happy Holidays BKAH. I see you have aborted the Sports Forum and found one where a few folks have a quasi positive attitude about collecting Bonds - not that they support him - just that he's part of the game. That's fair enough.

Hmmm, let me recall what I paid for anything "Bonds" that I have.
    Auto'd Ball - nothing.
    Auto'd Hat - nothing.
    Auto's Photo - nothing.
    Auto'd Bobblehead - nothing.
    Rookie Cards - $6.85
I forgot to mention that I also have his auto on a Home Plate, along with Clemens, Thomas, A-Rod, Maddux, Brown, Mussina and Alomar.
I got all this stuff of "The Ingrate" because he participated in a promotion my company was running. I was unhappy enough to meet him in the process, also. He's a jerk. So, you may call me a moron, but I am not stupid enough to "sell it cheap" to a goofball like you. I will dump it though.

Eat your BKA Heart out. Wish you had some?? By the way, I am not fat - perfect weight for my height. Have another mallomar.

Bonds is kind of an enigma to me - I have heard good and bad things about him - the reports on the drugs are compelling but let's hope, for the sake of the sport, that they are exaggerated. IMO, you don't have to love a guy to collect the items that represent that individuals contribution to the sport and the collectibles industry at large.
That's just my take on it - BKAH...did you get up on the wrong side of the bed? image

Biggy - I guess we are supposed to be impressed by your site. Good for you, Big Shot In Mind. Do you spam it on the Open Forum too? (your home). Where's the Bond's stuff and the Mallomars?
