How do you know if the coin market for one of the Caesars is getting overheated?

Sorry.....couldn't resist.

    Sounds rhetorical....

Ummmmm..... if they're going for double what they used to and they just found a huge hoard?

When sight unseen bids rise to within 10% of sight seen bids, the game is almost over. That's because the throngs of hungry new buyers wouldn't know a PQ aureus from a sea salvaged slug.

I guess if you have a coin graded ms-64 in an old holder and the coin is really PQ for the grade with a strong shot at 65 and buyers realize this, it may seem to some that the market is getting overheated.

  • I really like Roman Imperials - I can use a bronze brush during cleaning and still expect decent money when I offer them up for sale image

As for the market for one Caesar getting overheated - try buying an Athenian Owl the prices there are reaching the ridiculous!
