Anyone listen to Mike & The Mad Dog today?

For those not familiar with it, it's a sports talk radio show out of New York on WFAN-AM 660. They were talking about sports memorabilia and saying that it's ridiculous that people pay so much for items like a Jeter jersey from 1996 and that dealers have no passion - they're just in it for the money. I am a big fan of the show but they are off the mark here and really have no business talking about it because they aren't familiar with the business.

I hate Mike and the Mad Dog but I used to listen to 660 until I heard Mike pontificate about how impossible it was for the Red Sox to come back being down 3 to the Yankees. He went on and on about how pathetic they were. I am neither a Yankee fan nor a Red Sox fan but his attitude made me sick. When I listen to sports radio here in Ny now it's 1050espn radio.

Not sure what they know about memorabilia but there are a lot of people in business for profit as their only motive. There's nothing wrong with that IMO as long as they are principled people of honor and integrity. Not everyone on the planet has a "calling" or are on a "mission". That sounds like the typical talk of guys with itsy, bitsy, teeny, tiny, itty, bitty, little penises!

I listen to this show a lot, but you are right on the money about 'ol Fat Mike. He really had to eat some crow this past season regarding his Yankees, and nothing was sweeter than hearing Mad Dog rub it in his face for five beautiful hours. Which is probably why they do it.

I agree with you about Mike and the mad dog. I listen to 1050 Espn much more often then WFan. Some of the others on the fan aren't bad. Mike is very arrogant,Chris Russo isn't as bad.
