image Hit my 500th post and wanted to have a giveaway. First thing is I want to thank all the great people here who have helped me grow as a collector. Still have a long way to go!! I want to thank all those who post positive coin related threads that help us all gain knowlege about coins. I've enjoyed the great pictures of coins that people have posted here. Everyones picture skills have grown tremendously in the short time I've been here. Ok, so much for the Mush now to the giveaway. I liked what Weiss did for his 500th so I'm going to piggy back off his thread. It's the Holidays and it's better to give than receive so: eBay "Buy It Now" under $50 including shipping. Must be coin related. Giveaway ends Saturday, 12/11 at 6:00 PM Eastern. Winner must pick what they want by Sunday, 12/12 at 6:00 PM Eastern. Winner PM me address and what they want and I buy and ship to them. Now, how to win: Post some pictures of your newest coins and some "Words Of Wisdom" for Coin Collectors to live by. I'll pull the winners name out of a hat.

Aquire coins for the history behind them and appreciate where they've been and what they've survived; use them to teach your children the history of the time period they were minted in, only in knowing the accomplishments and mistakes of our past can we make a better future.

    Thanks for the giveaway!
  • Congrates on 500, please place my name in the hat.

  • I recently won this coin, among others, from a certain Hepkitty that frequents these parts.I've never had much interest in anything other than US coinage and currency, but since I've recieved this coin I've found myself,on more than one occasion, searching the darkside of ebay looking for others that catch my eye. So,my advice would be,don't close your mind to other aspects of collecting, and collect what appeals to you.

  • Here's one of my newest.

My words of wisdom are to remember that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. You can see all kinds of coins with different wear and colorization but it's the one that catches your eye that is worth collecting regardless of anyone else's opinions are.

    Thanks for the opportunity!

Great giveaway! Here's what I got today:

    PCGS MS66

    Here's some advice:

1- Don't discredit anyone because of age if you're selling. One day, being kind and donating some of your time will come back to reward you.
2- Never turn down advice. The worst thing that happens is you decide not to use it.
3- Help out others. Few people made it through the hobby without the help of someone else (an author, friend, etc.)... it never hurt anyone to be nice.

    Thanks!

cont buy a coin if it looks like this.

    Buy what makes you happy.

Family, kids, coins, sports (playing not watching), jet skiing, wakeboarding, Big Air....no one ever got hurt in the air....its the sudden stop that hurts. I hate Hurricane Sandy. I hate FEMA and i hate the blasted insurance companies.
  • My newest morgan. Probably a 63 though. But I got it becuase I liked the toning on it. Lighting makes some of it look like PVC, but it isn't.

Wisdom: When you're buying those expensive coins and you're not quite confident in your knowledge (like meimage), ask questions right here on simply the best coin message board available. Everyone here has always been more than helpful to me, and I certainly appreciate it...

Here's a couple special thank yous:

Thanks to CarlWohlforth at Carl's Coins for this beauty (and several others for their help)

Congratulations on your 500th post and thanks for the chance in this giveaway. Here's a recent ebay purchase 1798 Draped Bust Cent (S166) - Whisker Variety. I probably overpaid but it was worth it for me.

My word of advise would be a little courtesy goes along way.

Cool giveaway! I'm in. Words of wisdom: don't be afraid to walk away from a coin. When you go to a show, be sure to look at as many coins as possible from as many dealers as possible before spending money. Doing so will help make sure you don't walk up to the next table and find a coin you would have rather spent your money on. And don't buy a coin to impress someone else. Buy a coin because it is special in your eyes.

Here are my most recent two coins. Well, I ended up accidentally deleting the images of a couple. So I'll add in one I just purchased last night.
