Coin Microscope

BTW I bought a coin microscope (adjustible 7-45X, trifocal) a few months ago and I absolutely love it. They are great if you are serious about higher grade coins or varieties. The one I bought came from Coin Optics (www.CoinOptics.com). Bought it from a guy named Larry Brooks. Cost about $800, but they have other good models for considerably less. I have no interest, financial or otherwise, in this company. I just thought I would mention that I am a very satisfied customer in case anybody is thinking about buying one.

  • I bought one from them at the ANA show in Atlanta about 3 or so years ago, it is a 10x & 30x, great for viewing varieties, RPMM, etc.... The close up of the over date shilling on my G III section of
my WEB site was taken through the microscope. Did you get a camera mount for yours?

My microscope cost less than $300.00..... image

  • I just got my microscope in yesterday, I bought the new QX-5 Digital Blue with 10X, 60X, 200X, Software was easy to install and after figuring out the particuliars, No handbook included, I love it, going to post some pics later today, Cost's and shipping were 89.45. Bought it from ToysRus. had to go the cheapest route, But it's great for the beginner, I also got a Canon A75 PowerShot with up to 10X Zoom. Now have to get a DC power adapter cause it eats batteries fast. But, anyway Santa was nice to my Grinch self this year, I might actually like Christmas after all? Now off to construct a post type stand for still shots.

    Happy Holidays,

    Brad.....image
