Coin show directory help

I was thinking of putting together a database for coin & currency shows. The current internet lists (like coinshows.com) seem quite lacking. Are most collectors content with listings in NN & CW? Any promoters out there want to sound off?

  • there is a directory that lists coin shows for a whole year at a time . it is updated about every one or two months . each page is devoted to a month , and shows all the large and regional shows with dates ,locations, contact names, etc . some smaller shows are listed , but not most . for local infrequent shows ,coin world or nn is best source . you can subscribe , but it costs near a hundred per year . these sometimes can be picked up for free on info counters at shows .

  • I think show promoters will do well, even just getting a free web site and setting themselves up on the internet... I recently wanted to go to a show, and I forgot to get the exact information from a dealer, and I could not find one lick of information ANYWHERE! The only reference I found to the show, was a coin dealer's web site saying that he would be at that show... nothing else... nothing in The Numismatist, nothing in Coin World, nothing on CoinShows.com... NOTHING... ANYWHERE! So... I didn't go to the show... image
