Vam Question....1882 o/s??? ***receieved coin, it is an O/S****

Any chance this 82-0 is an o/s. I tried to magnify the picture but it got blurry. From the photo, it looks like something is going on with the mintmark. Thanks for your help....

Can't say for sure. It does look like something going on in the m/m though. Good luck.

I think it is. The ear on the O/S coins is polished flat. Looks like a O/S inside the ear to me. Good luck.

Just got the coin today...It is an O/S, VAM 3 I believe. The black junk came off, and its an easy 62, but theres some slight rim damage that may keep it out of a holder. Not a ding, looks like someone tried to cut a sliver, but its still attached. Nice coin overall though, with alot of luster. Ill post a picture after Christmas.

I picked up an 1882-O O/S VAM-3 last Friday. It's not in mint state, but was pretty cheap. It looks like the die is severely overpolished under Liberty's neck. Part of the designer's initial is gone. Is yours like this? Anybody else?
