Group of Capped Bust halves 1810-1812- big pics

Here are some more photos of Capped Bust halves from my collection. Comments/guesses on grade and attribution welcome. The coins in this group are free from the dreaded hairlines or wiping that plague many early halves. The bottom two coins are in ANACS holders. I do think the one coin was dipped, but I don't really mind.

Another great bunch of bust halves. The second 1811 is 1811 O.112a R.5.

That is a delightful group! The last two images did not show up for me, but of those that did I especially liked the 1810 and 1812.

I really like the toning/look of the 1810 and the first 1812- the two 1811's look like they've been cleaned, and the first has been trying to retone in a splotchy way... While I don't like white bust halves, I must say that the die breaks on the second 1811 are really cool!!
My style is impetuous, my defense is impregnable !
  • I love the die breaks on that 2nd '11..and that '12 looks like it would be beautiful in hand..Beautiful pics too!!

The 1811 halves were removed from a very old PCI green label slab and an ANACS EF-40 "no problem" slab, respectively. Neither has been cleaned, in my opinion. The toning on the first 1811 is slightly uneven, but I don't have a problem with it. I have no doubt it would slab EF-40 at PCGS. It's just not worth sending it in.
