Private Feedback ...What should I do

SmittysSmittys Posts: 9,876 ✭✭✭✭✭
I have someone bidding on my item with private feedback.
He has 21 positive from 9 users, but I'm afraid it's looking like
I'm shilling my own item.
What should I do?

  • Don't do anything.

I had a guy bid on one of my coins. His eBay user id was "CarlsCoins1". Did that look like a shill? Naw, I'm not stupid enough to shill with a user name so close to my own. I'm "CarlWohlforth" on eBay but I call my store Carl's Coins. Anyway it doesn't look like you are shilling your own item to me.
  • Looks good to me, even after checking his bidding history. I would not think shill.
I know what you're going through. A lot of times I've wanted to cancel bids for the same reason but I rode it out.

I would let the bid stand. You don't want to cancel bids unless there is a very good reason, and I don't see one here.

Don't worry about a buyer with no negatives and private feedback.

He probably just doesn't want it known what he is buying - maybe some high priced items?

Geesh...you throw yourself in a tizzy over what other people might think? Forget it and hope the guy bids the highest and wins the coin. You come out the winner.
