Eisenhower dollar category heating up on the bay!

As of today, Sunday 12/5/04 the Eisenhower dollar category on Ebay has a total of 1665 listings for the category. Down from over 1700 a few days ago. Normally that category has around 1100-1300 listings.
Any thoughts as to why the increase?

While it's true that state quarters are readily available in un-circulated, they are very difficult in higher grades.
The same is true for ike dollars, as i know that you are aware of this fact. Also, it's just not high grades. Ikes offer everything in the form of a challenge : Wrong planchets ( silver on clad ) , double dies, triple dies, peg legs, 1972-P type # 2, color coins, prooflike dollars, ect.
A mountain climber does not pay $ 60,000.00 + to go out and scale the local hilltop. They go to Mt. Everest and pay that amount, and more because of the tremendous challenge. The same is true with ikes, they offer the same challenge, and offer a ground floor opportunity for the average collector !!!
There are a lot of nice Ikes being offered these days. I think they were one of the fastest growing
Registry sets over the past year. With all those coins being offered, there are some good buys to be
found....you just have to look for them. Lots of Third-World....errr, I mean Third-Party grading
services are really starting to show up in Ikeland too. Be careful, PGS might LOOK like PCGS from
a distance but.......well, you know.....
