Spink-Coincraft

How is this for an idea... Coincraft and Spink merge their catalogs into one publication, keeping the Spink name and the Spink catalog numbers. The book takes on the size of the Coincraft Catalog and includes major varieties and pictures with added catalog numbers for varieties. I think it sounds like an idea who's time has come... Any thoughts from across the Pond?

Good idea, I'd like to see Sponk go to a two volume format and add a lot of photos and general info.

  • I personally prefer the Coincraft numbers to Spinks, they make more sense and there's more room for further additions.

J2HG-005 means more to me than say S.1899 (Whatever the latter may be).

It's obvious you're dealing with a James II half guinea in the first one and being 005 it's probably an early one, infact it's the first one 1686.
