Ebay listing with PSA in the title

I just read a post on a dealer's message board. The poster says that PSA was able to get his ebay listing deleted because he included "PSA" in the auction title, but the card wasn't PSA graded.

Does that really happen?

    Yes
    Good for you.
  • yes. i think it's called spaming. psa is a brand, its
's like selling hamburgers on ebay and putting mcdonalds in the title.
  • Apparently, yes.

There was a thread about this not too long ago, but I can't find it now. Anyone?
  • Anyone can get a listing cancelled with PSA in the title if there are no PSA cards in the auction. Just report it under "key word spamming". Sometimes they will just issue a warning, sometimes they will cancel it, and sometimes they seem to do nothing.

I know that using a keyword spam is not a new trick...but the post I linked to implies that it is PSA that is getting the auctions canceled. Is that true?

I don't know if it's PSA that is getting them cancelled and that is possible. I think for the most part it's collector's and buyers who are tired of the spamming that is reporting it to ebay. I've reported it a couple times several years back and they emailed me back stating that they did cancell all the auctions mentioned. These were mainly offbrand stuff ie CTA 10 = PSA 10, PRO 9 = PSA 9. I hate all the equals title.
