How should I go about getting a Flowing Hair type?

I've fallen in love with the flowing hair design--it's so simple, yet it represents so much... even that scrawny eagle, which seems a far cry from its successor, the heraldic eagle. Now, I want one
My first, and most important requirement, is that the coin be original--I like that grey color of circulated coins, and I won't take a white one... I'd even prefer the coin to not really have other colors, such as album colors, albeit, I'd consider one with those colors. I don't want one that's damaged, either--look at Heritage, and you can see lots of fines netted to fair. Most of what they've got is just painfully abused.
Even without this requirement, I was already in the F-12 range or below--likely below. The type, in any grade, would likely become, by far, my most expensive piece, and could require my doing some selling to get it, or having the coin on a layaway.
Now, what do people suggest? Which denomination will get the best bang for my buck? 1794s are cool, but 1795s are probably nicer for the same money. Any good places to look? I can't go to my local show tomorrow, and I know last month there were a few, albeit one was a Fine that's probably too expensive, and the rest low grade and damaged. I do know where I can get a G-6 with a few scratches for a good price, but I'd just rather not have the scratches, if at all possible.
Or, should I wait a few years to see if the market cools and the price for the type--any denomination--drops?
I appreciate everyone's ideas.
Jeremy
PS- Thanks in advance to anyone who buys one for me ... especially one of the AUs up for auction

hope you track one down.
It's big, much easier to find nice, and more affordable than a dollar or half dime.
You can find them wherever quality type coins are sold. This one was around $850

I'll take a gross at that price, please!
Jeremy, let your fingers do the walking, either on eBay, searching dealer sites, or right here on this forum!

For a starter, stay with the '95s (half dime, half dollar or dollar) if you want the most "bang" for your buck. They still represent good value IMO.

Sorry, you're right... wasn't thinking straight...

though. He does get lower grades in once in a while. While he might be a bit pricey the quality is there. Give him a call because sometimes he
has something not listed on his sight or will end up with possibly what you're looking for.
When I wanted a 1795 half-dime in fairly low grade I called him and it was the right time. He had one ready to list. He listed it, gave me first shot
and all went well. Good luck!!!!
P.S. My icon coin (a dollar) is a VG10 yes in a rattle holder and came from Premium Numismatics. They can be found but it will take a search.
Just be careful what you consider "Original" and if the right one presents itself..... BUY IT OR IT WILL BE GONE QUICK!!!
Edit.... Dave at Alpine Numismatics has some decent half dollars once in a while..... they go quick as well.
I like the obverse
Can I ask that you show the reverse as well?
Thanks!
Ron
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

stman,
Very nice. But, doesn 't it look like there 's a silver plug covering part of the neck and the hair area in the center?
If that 's the case, you might have a more valuable coin. Just my observation.

I sure wish it did. It has some circulation marks in that area you speak of. Thanks for the good words on the coin.
Nothing fancy on this one but so original I really like it.
Edit to add the reverse by request......
