It' looks as if you are rubbing off the original surface and some luster is coming through. image

Do you show it off when digging for change?

I have some coins I want to put in your pocket, because the strike seems to have gotten better between 10/1/04 and 10/30/04! Cotton balls, over the ear, oak leaves.

Either it's the lighting, the dinging up, or your magic pocket. image

It's the shining up. It's looking a bit polished and shiny now. At first it was kinda dirty also.

Odd, the 10/1/04 pic look like it has more wear. Look at the hair above the ear.
  • Good Idea!

Always looking for attractive rim toned Morgan and Peace dollars in PCGS or (older) ANA/ANACS holders!

  • When the local coin dealer gets in what would be a nice coin if it wasn't for a light scratch or some crusty stuff, he puts it in a sandwich baggy with a number of other coins and carries them around in his pocket. It might take several weeks or months and a coin might lose a little on the grade but he usually ends up with a coin that is quite nice and lacking much of the evidence of its previous problem.
