Can this be slabbed?

I have a 1922 no “D” in a third party slab graded XF 40, Die #2 strong reverse. The problem is there is a dig in the worst possible location. Of course it looks like a removed “D” and it might have just gotten by the graders. BUT, what if it’s genuine? Can it be proven with diagnostics? And would it slab at PCGS or is just a problem coin?
Thanks for your time!

I think we'd probably be able to grade the coin.
Thanks,
