I really like the matte proof lincolns. I like the grainy surface texture. This one has a couple hairlines on the obv, but they're only noticable at high magnification. It's in a PCGS PR65 RB holder. They seem to have gone up in price quite a bit lately.

<< <i>I'm jealous, and I do not collect Lincolns. Very nice. Do you have the 09 Proof IHC to go with the Lincoln yet?
Congrats on the pickup.

As a matter of fact, yes.

I personally have seen many of them and Mark's is definitely superior in strike detail and eye appeal to 90% of the ones I've seen. The images are enlarged and are perfectly superb. Thanks for sharing Mark.
BTW Mark, is that 09 designated Cameo?
edited for spelling
Makes me want to own them myself!

Will you try to complete a run of matte proof Lincolns?
Whoopies. My sincerest apologies. Please forgive an old fart who has the worst reading skills on this forum.

I agree, you have captured the appearance of matte Lincolns perfectly.

those are exceptional Matte PR Lincolns thanks for posting such fine photographs too. Of the few Matte PR Lincolns I have seen none had the lustrous appearance of your '09 - most were more grainy with less radiant surfaces - is that the norm? Does toning on these play a large factor in surface preservation/appearance? Many I have seen were indeed BN. I have also read that there was some variation in the surfaces on these coins due to Mint practices in flux but don't know if that is true. I imagine some were cleaned - perhaps the Matte surface obscures this on some coins. Yours are truly wonderous in color and preservation
Best,
Billy
