MadMarty and everyone else - for NE Illinois/NW Indiana, the Sunday Shows goes like this - 1st Sunday - Lemont (which I will be setting up starting in January 2005), 2nd Sunday - Countryside , and 3rd Sunday - Ithasca . Also, a listing of shows is on one of the links on the Illinois Numismatic Association's website at www.ilnaclub.org. And there are shows all over the state - in February, there are shows in Rockford and Rantoul, in March in Watseka, Joliet, and Springfield, and in April in Quad Cities and Gilespie (south of Springfield). Just keep your eyes peeled and your ears open.

I may have to stop by on Sunday in Countryside. Where is it at? I haven't been to the Countryside show before.

MadMarty - thanks for the correction.

NW Indiana (and the rest of the state for that matter) are not much for shows - most in part due to the sales tax on coins. A few good ones that I know of in Indiana are Marion, Muncie, Terre Haute, and LaFayette.

For those who think Countryside is a great show - I beg to differ. I have been there a couple of times, and the impression I get is that it is pretty overrated. Remember that the Sunday shows in Chicago, for the most part, have the same dealers selling the same merchandise. It is a matter of how organized they are and the show location!
