dog gone it PSA!! auction of the day

i was really looking forward to bidding on this card. but not only did PSA mislabel the flip, they also misgraded the darn thing.
57 Robinson
is this guy joking or does he really think it was misgraded?
E

ps-no i wasn't really going to bid, just looked to find out what was so rare about this card graded a PSA2. maybe he thinks that means 2 were graded.

  • I think he was trying to pass of a PSA error as a rare card.

Its a '57 card with a '58 flip. If you go down about 3 numbers in the certification listing, there was a '57 F. Rob that was graded a 5.

Ill bet that is the card that was slabbed in this holder and the real '58 card was slabbed in the '57 holder.

Rare, maybe. Extra value because of the mistake. No.

OBVIOUSLY, this is an error card. It was graded TOO LOW. image

  • he's only got a couple of feedbacks. he's probably still shocked by the difference b/w raw grades from the 80's and psa standards

no way that card is undergraded. it is a 2 and deserves it. as for the mix up with the cert. no big deal.
    Good for you.

"Smooth edges and rough corners." I think he means rough edges and smooth corners.

Going solely by the scan, that's a nice 2, which might have gotten a 3 (picture looks clean and no creases visible).
