Not juiced ball era, but juiced muscle era

I guess a plausible explanation for the increase in home runs is not a juiced ball as was rumored in the 1990's, but just a whole lot of juicing going on in general.

This totally tarnishes what Bonds, Canseco, Giambi and others have done in MLB.

Perhaps we will view guys like John Olerud, Don Mattingly and David Cone in a different light for now on. They may not have the monstrous numbers of Bonds, but they were clean players.

Throw Bernie, Jeter, and Tino (who the Yankees should have never got rid of) in there too!

    I agree Gemmy10!!

The Yanks might get Tino back as a back up first baseman/DH.

Watered down pitching talent era and smaller park era may also come into play.
Proud of my 16x20 autographed and framed collection - all signed in person. Not big on modern - I'm stuck in the past!
  • Steroids are only a fraction for the increase of the offensive production in this era. I already have a study that I am undertaking that explains pretty much what is at cause, and the increase is mostly already accounted for wtihout even considering steroids. If I had to venture a geuss, I am geussing 5-10% of the increase is due to steroids.
